Miguel Cabrera’s huge deal is Mike Trout’s gigantic gain.

Alden Gonzalez is reporting that the L.A. Angels and Mike Trout have agreed to a six year, $144 million extension.

The 22-year-old Trout had a  .324/.416/.560 season last year, with 57 homers, 238 runs scored and 82 stolen bases.  In 2012 and 2013, Trout finished second in American League Most Valuable Player Award voting to Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera, who just signed an eight-year, $248 million extension of his own.
