Antonio Tarver is in a bit of trouble.
The 45 year old boxer was taken into custody after a Highway Patrol officer discovered that he had an open warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear in court and skipped bail following a charge related to “insufficient checks and fraud” in Nevada. From Tampa Tribune:
Tarver, 45, who lives in Lutz and has trained in Tampa for years, was arrested on a warrant for jumping bail and failure to appear out of Clark County, Nev. by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
He is being held without bond.
Tarver is in a tough spot right now and is being held in jail in Tampa. I guess the lesson here though is to not skip bail or write bad checks.
