New Texas Head Coach Charlier Strong has made a good first impression on Longhorns fans. If he can help get this idea done, they will like him even more. Strong said that he would like to see the annual Texas vs Texas A&M game renewed and even had an idea of how to get it done:
“It’s all about the two ADs getting together and getting that figured out,” Strong said. “When you look at it, it’s been such a huge rivalry game. … I think at some point it will get worked out.
“When there’s been so much tradition there, you’d like to see it continue on. That’s my feeling on it. I’d love to play it.”
“You’d like to play it in a neutral site somewhere, where every year it’s in that spot, whether it’s Houston or Dallas,” Strong said.
There is no way this game shouldn’t be played every year. They haven’t played since 2011 since the Aggies left for the SEC after that.
I can just hear Jerry Jones on the line now to get the game in Dallas.
