Toronto Blue Jays star shortstop, Jose Reyes, left their season opener against the Devil Rays with a tight left hamstring, Yahoo sports has reported.
Reyes can’t seem to catch a break. He missed several games in the final week of spring training with tightness in the same hamstring, and he’s coming off of an injured-marred season in which he missed 66 games with an injured left ankle.
The Blue Jays have to be hoping that these nagging hamstring injuries don’t lead to something more serious down the road. Maybe they should give Reyes some extended time off to get right, just to be sure.
Either way, after missing so much of last year, I’m sure the last thing that Reyes or the Blue Jays organization want to deal with is another set of injuries.
