The Detroit Lions and tight end Brandon Pettigrew have agreed to terms on a deal that will keep the former first round pick in Detroit for the foreseeable future. In a move that helps solidify the Lions offense after signing Golden Tate earlier this week, Pettigrew gets $8 million guaranteed.

While Pettigrew hasn’t exactly lit up the league since being drafted, he has proven to be a good pass catcher and blocker as well. Thought he struggles with drops, the Lions did a good job at getting him back at a very reasonable price.
Look for the team to continue to add weapons for Matthew Stafford in May’s draft.
