Navy RB Will McKamey In Coma After Collapsing At Practice
This is terrible and so unfortunate.
Navy running back Will McKamey collapsed during practice Saturday and had to be airlifted to the hospital at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
According to the Baltimore Sun, McKamey is now in a coma after undergoing surgery to remove a brain clot.
McKamey’s mom said he was showing “very little response” but that they had seen “some very small improvements and reactions to light.”
The Naval Academy issued a statement late Saturday afternoon.
“The entire Naval Academy family is shaken by this turn of events and we are providing all the support we can to Will and his family.”
As a senior in high school, McKamey collapsed in similar fashion and had to be airlifted to a local hospital.Powered by Sidelines
