In an interesting turn of events, Cleveland.com is reporting that the Browns are looking at signing Matt Schaub as a “serious possibility.” Soures are saying that Schaub would compete with Brian Hoyer for the starting QB position. Schaub spent 3 seasons playing very well in the Kyle Shannahan offensive scheme. Schaub is now an 11-year veteran, but played very poorly last season before being sidelined with a torn ACL.
On the other hand, Jason LaCanfora also tweeted that the Browns were interested in either Schaub or veteran Rex Grossman.
Browns will also monitor QB market, with Rex Grossman and Matt Schaub system fits there w/Kyle Shanahan. One of them will get signed

Either way I’m not buying the Schaub/Grossman connection to Shannahan as a good enough reason for a bringing one or the other to Cleveland, but I send my continued condolences to their fans.
