According to Stephen A. Smith, Steve Mills, executive vice president and general manager of the New York Knicks, met about two weeks ago with Phil Jackson about the possibility of becoming the next head coach of the New York Knicks.

The sources told Smith the message the Knicks received from Jackson was that he was not interested in the position at this time.
