I think the brace caused more problems with his mechanics than running.
No matter how great a runner you are, you still have to stand in the pocket plant your leg and make accurate passes.
A lot of times RG3 didn’t seem too sure about that plant leg and a lot of passes sailed high or off the mark because of it. A combination of not having the brace, being more comfortable in the stability of his knee and being more careful when he runs may lead to better 2014 season.
