The last time we heard from retired NFL player Rolando McClain, he was talking about retiring because he “wanted to kill someone like Aaron Hernandez”.
Now people close to him say that he is doing much better and telling them he is eyeing an NFL comeback. From the Carroll County Times:
According to a source close to McClain, the linebacker is in a better place mentally, has been working out regularly and has been telling people since at least the fall that he plans to play football in 2014.
McClain retired in May at the age of 23 after he was arrested for the third time in a 17-month period. He said in a statement at the time, “I love football, but I have decided at this time it is in my best interest to focus on getting my personal life together.”
Currently the Ravens hold his rights but with all the offseason troubles they are having, I would imagine they would cut him if he did come back.
