Earlier today troubled 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was arrested at LAX after it was alleged he told a TSA agent he had a bomb after being randomly chosen for a secondary screening at one of the airport terminals. It’s now being reported that Smith has been released after posting $20,000 bail.
San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was released on $20,000 bail after being booked into Los Angeles jail Sunday for “false report of a bomb threat,” according to jail records.
After being taken into custody at Los Angeles International Airport, Smith was booked into jail at 4:16 p.m. on the felony charge, which is punishable by up to one year in jail. He was released at 7:02 p.m. after posting bail.
A court date for Smith has yet to be set.
