What a sight to behold in Sunday’s Brewers vs Pirates game, as a bench clearing brawl broke out.
Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez, Pirates outfielder Travis Snider and Brewers bench coach Jerry Narron were ejected from Sunday’s game after a shouting match unfolded following a Carlos Gomez triple off Pirates pitcher Gerrit Cole.
After the game there continued to be no love lost for what transpired in-game, as Gomez explained his bat flip:
Gomez said he flipped his bat out of frustration because he thought he'd made an out — not because he'd homered.

"I’m not apologizing for nothing I did today. This is my job, I’ve been doing it for eight years like that. They know I play like that."

"It’s not to disrespect nobody. So if they take it like that, they don’t like it, that’s fine, and I’m fine with it."

Cole also weighed in on the situation:
Gerrit Cole:"I said 'If you are going to hit a home run you can watch it. If you are going to hit a fly ball to CF don’t watch it'"

Cole:"I didn’t curse at him. I didn’t try to provoke a fight. I was frustrated. I let my emotions get the better of me.
