James Harden is one of the most dynamic shooting guards in the NBA during the regular season. The playoffs are a different story all together.
Harden is shooting just 14-for-47 from the field in the Rockets first two playoff games, both losses. Harden for his part said his offense wasn’t the issue, but the team’s defense is. That doesn’t help Harden’s case at all, because he’s one of the worst defenders in the league as it is. So when James Harden isn’t hitting on offense either, he becomes a liability.
Harden, when questioned by Houston reporter Fran Blinebury about his offensive struggles in-game 1&2, actually got defensive about the questioning and got into it with reporter according to the Oregonian.
But when his media session in the Rockets opulent locker room ended, Harden went back at the reporter, asking if he had ever seen a player not play well before. The reporter answered that the struggle seemed unusual for Harden and was coming on a major stage, the playoffs.
The two went back and forth for a while, with Harden asking the reporter if he’d ever seen a basketball game before, then demanding to know whom the reporter was. The exchange got testy enough that team officials stepped in to usher Harden out.
As he left the room, Harden called the reporter “weirdo.”
