New York Jets

Muhammad Wilkerson is that much closer to setting himself to be a Jet for life.  The All Pro defensive end has spoken at length about wanting to remain with the Jets for the rest of his career.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News is reporting that the New York Jets have exercised their fifth year option on the talented defensive end out of Temple.

The moves ensure that Wilkerson will anchor the Jets defensive through 2015 and beyond.  The Jets now would like to get a long-term deal done, and quickly before the Texans blow the NFL away with a new deal for JJ Watt.
