The injury bug has again caught up with Josh Hamilton–an all too familiar theme in his Angels career.
The slugger left Tuesday night’s game versus the Mariners abruptly after a thumb injury. Hamilton has been diagnosed with a complete tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb, along with a torn capsule. His surgery will keep him out of the game between 6-8 weeks.
Hamilton had started off the 2014 season (all two weeks of it) on a hot streak, so the sideline will be a big blow for the Halos.
