Kyrie Irving is not in the best of moods these days.
The Cleveland Cavaliers star point guard flipped out on the Twitter a few nights ago when reports surfaced that he wanted out of the organization, and now according to Bleacher Report per the Akron Beacon Journal, he’s ripping Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon for comments he made pertaining to his team.
This is what Josh Gordon said to draw Kyrie’s ire:
Gordon, speaking in an ESPN interview (via Lloyd), said of the Cavs’ interpersonal strife: “I talked about it with Dion. He’s my neighbor in my building so we hang out all the time. I’m aware of the rift in the locker room. That’s just alpha males and supreme athletes trying to share the spotlight.”
The Cavaliers’ All-Star point guard heard Brown’s two cents and decided to send him a personal message.
Guys like Josh Gordon need to stay in his sport and mind his own business. Does he still play for the Browns? I’ll continue to root for the Browns, but in terms of this stuff here, what goes on in this locker room, he needs to stay out of it.
You can tell the losing is starting to get to young Kyrie so he’s acting out a bit. In all honesty I didn’t think Brown’s comments were all that inflammatory but I’m not Kyrie.
Folks in Cleveland may want to avoid eye contact with Kyrie until he settles down or you could be next.
