Mark Cuban Not Sure He Wants Donald Sterling Out of NBA
Mark Cuban is a coward. We need to start there before we go any further. He has now twice completely dropped the ball with his comments about the Donald Sterling situation. It started when he first said this wasn’t the time to talk about this because of the playoffs and it continues with his most recent comments. Now according to ESPN Dallas, he is saying that he is against removing Donald Sterling:
“I think there’s a constitution for a reason, right? Because this is a very slippery slope,” Cuban said before Game 4 of the Mavericks-San Antonio Spurs series. “What Donald said was wrong. It was abhorrent. There’s no place for racism in the NBA, any business I’m associated with, and I don’t want to be associated with people who have that position.
“But at the same time, that’s a decision I make. I think you’ve got to be very, very careful when you start making blanket statements about what people say and think, as opposed to what they do. It’s a very, very slippery slope.
Of course he made sure to say over and over again that racism is bad and he doesn’t want to be associated with it. However here is what Mr Cuban fails to realize: by coming out against removing Sterling, you are standing with a racist. You may claim to not want to be associated with it or with Sterling but your cowardly stance of doing nothing but saying you are against racism does nothing. Doing nothing to Sterling as the league has done for years only enables him more.
You said we can’t make blanket statements about what people say and think as opposed to what they do so what do your actions say about you?
