I find it hard to believe that a team owned by Mark Cuban can’t get some black socks by game time tonight, but we will see what happens.
Here are the details courtesy of Dallas Star Telegram.
Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion said his team doesn’t have any black socks. And unless they can find some before tonight’s game against San Antonio, they will do something else to show support to the Los Angeles Clippers players and coaches.
The Clippers are involved in a world-wide scandal after their controversial owner, Donald Sterling, was caught on tape allegedly making disparaging remarks about African-Americans. Players from both the Mavs and Spurs would like to do something or wear something in tonight’s game in support of the Clipper players and coaches.
“We don’t have black socks right now,” Marion said after Monday morning’s shootaround. “We’re going to figure out something to do if we can’t get us some black socks for everybody to wear.”
