When you’re reminded of Jimmy Graham’s success on a daily, you can probably figure out a reason to just go for it.
Erik Swoope just completed his senior season as a forward with the Miami Hurricanes basketball team, but instead of heading to the Portsmouth Invitational, Swoope will jump into the NFL draft, ESPN reports.
I'm excited to enter my name in the NFL Draft and pursue a professional football career. @nfl @ProFootballTalk @nbc @SInow @Manny_Navarro

The 6-foot-5 Swoope averaged a career-high 5.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Hurricanes this past season, but never played football at Miami.
He like Graham did several years ago, hopes his size and athletic ability will translate to results as an NFL tight end. Graham for his part did play one year of football at Miami before entering the NFL. Swoope reportedly had a private workout for the Denver Broncos after the Hurricanes’ Pro Day earlier this month.
