ESPN is reporting that New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard has been released from an adult detention center in Lancaster Country, Nebraska.
Dennard served 35 of a possible 60 days following a violation of his probation stemming from an April 2012 arrest, for which he was convicted of felony assault of a police officer in an incident outside a Lincoln, Neb., bar just days before the 2012 NFL draft.
The 24-year-old cornerback was arrested again in July 2013 on suspicion of driving under the influence, which violated his previous probation.
Dennard started nine of the 13 games he played in for the Patriots last season. He had 40 tackles and one interception, then added two more interceptions in the playoffs.
