Did Phil Jackson actually play J.R. Smith the ultimate compliment?
The Knicks have found their groove and gotten hot as a team at just the right time. After bombing the Nets, Jackson and his Knicks are having legit discussions about the damage they can do in the playoffs.
Knicks president Phil Jackson was asked about his teams potential in the playoffs and what could make them a dangerous out. Jackson surprisingly hinted at the strong play of J.R. Smith as a reason for the Knicks being a tough draw.
“Well, with J.R. playing at the level he’s playing at now, yes,” Jackson said.
Yes the same J.R. Smith that has untied an opponent’s shoe and offered the pipe is now being counted on to drive the Knicks on a deep playoff run.
That’s the power of the zen.
