Welcome to the club, Albert Pujols.
Pujols let his flair for the dramatic on full display in Tuesday night’s game vs the Nationals as he knocked in his 499th and 500th homer in the same game.
The Angels slugger and future Hall of Famer became the 26th player and third youngest to hit 500 home runs. Pujols is 34 years and 96 days old–Arod was 32 years, 8 days old when he accomplished the feat.
Pujols has now 8 home runs for the season, which leads the League and is a very promising way to kick off what should be a rebound of a forgettable 2013 season.
