Take this with a grain of salt, but the Charleston Daily is reporting the Lakers plan on keeping Mike D’Antoni in Los Angeles. Thus, ending Marshall’s pursuit of D’Antoni.
Sources told the Charleston Daily Mail on Tuesday afternoon that D’Antoni will remain the head coach of the Lakers and, thus, will not be in position to accept the vacant Herd hoops job.
D’Antoni has a year left on his contract, so it’s possible the Lakers feel like he deserves a chance to play out his contract, especially after all the injuries he dealt with this season.
