Report: Pau Gasol Has Played Final Game With Lakers

Lakers fans can rip Pau Gasol all they want, but the franchise doesn’t have two more NBA titles without the skilled big man.

Gasol has dealt with a bout of vertigo over the past week and according to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times, the Lakers are likely to sit Gasol for the remainder of season, thus ending his tenure in L.A.

The team is leaning toward sitting him for its final seven games while he recovers from a severe recurrence of vertigo.

He won’t play Friday against Dallas after dizziness kept him confined at the team hotel Wednesday while the Lakers played Sacramento. He flew back on the team charter that night after missing a fifth game because of the illness.

Gasol averaged 17.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game this season and will have his list of suitors in free agency.
