Rick Adelman Out Timberwolves

After Minnesota finished the season missing the playoffs for the 10th year in a row with a record of 40-42, changes could be in the air. According to a Star Tribune report, Head Coach Rick Adelman is gone:

There is no chance — zero — of Rick Adelman returning as Timberwolves head coach next season, according to one of the team’s decision-makers. Look for an announcement to that effect soon.

First off, it’s unclear whether or not Adelman will be fired or step down. His wife is apparently dealing with seizures and he may need to step away to spend more time with her. Beyond that, the big question looming with this team is what to do with Kevin Love. In my mind, they need to trade him are hope they can rebuild on the fly.

Look for the Wolves to have a new coach next year to try and finally get them back in the playoffs.
