I guess you can be a half decent general manager, but still have a wonderful mind for the draft. The Seattle Seahawks have reportedly hired ex-Dolphins GM, Jeff Ireland, to be a draft consultant according to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports.
He will reportedly help the Seahawks prepare for the seven round draft.
Ireland was Miami’s GM from 2008 until January. He agreed to depart the organization after Dolphins owner Steve Ross changed the power structure in Miami’s front office.
Ireland and the Seahawks will discuss the possibility of a full-time role after the draft.
