And then there were two. The Texas A&M QB race to replace Johnny Football will come down to Kenny Hill and Kyle Allen because Matt Joeckel will transfer from the school after graduating. He had this to say:
“I have loved my four and a half years at Texas A&M,” Joeckel said. “I am glad I had the opportunity to play for Coach Sumlin, Coach (Jake) Spavital and the rest of the coaches. I am proud to have my degree from the Mays Business School and I’ll always consider myself a member of the Aggie family.”
Since he already graduated he will be eligible to play right away somewhere else. He obviously didn’t play much sitting behind a Heisman winner but he could be an intriguing pick up for a team who needs to stabilize the QB spot.
