Former Villanova star and current Minnesota Timberwolves forward Dante Cunningham was arrested early Thursday morning for domestic assault.

According to Fox Twin Cities, Cunningham, 26, was booked into the Hennepin County Jail shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday, where he was being held without bail.
Police reportedly were called to a home around 4 a.m. Thursday. The woman involved in the alleged assault did not require medical treatment.
The incident is still under investigation.
Timberwolves officials released this statement.
“We are aware of the matter involving Dante Cunningham and are in the process of gathering more information. Dante will not be traveling with the team to Miami this afternoon. The Minnesota Timberwolves organization takes the matter very seriously and does not condone the type of behavior that is associated with this situation. However, we need to let the legal process run its course, and will have further comment at the appropriate time.”
