Brandon Marshall was a pretty good player before the 2012 season, but during an interview with ESPN, the pro bowler called his trade from Miami to Chicago a “life-saving and career-saving” event.
“I don’t think I’d be sitting in this position talking about an extension [if not for the trade to Chicago],” Marshall said. “I probably wouldn’t even be having the success that I was having on the field in that environment [in Miami]. It wasn’t right for me.”
We all know about the culture in Miami now after the Richie Incognito fiasco, but Marshall comments seem to hint at finding the right tools to overcome his personal demons in Chicago.
