Johnny football might be the most popular player to arrive in Cleveland since LeBron James, however, none of that hoopla is moving Browns general manager, Ray Farmer; who told WKRK-FM, via Bleacher Report:
Browns GM: Brian Hoyer ahead of Johnny Manziel by “substantial margin” http://t.co/syzkFZuLJ0 pic.twitter.com/ezn8ZUfQlV

“I want the best quarterback to start. Who is the best quarterback? Brian Hoyer”, Farmer said.
When Farmer was asked about the gap between Manziel and Hoyer, he had this to say:
“That’s a good question. I would tell you that probably by a substantial margin,” Farmer said. “I would say that because here’s a guy that’s a five- or six-year veteran who has been in the league, that knows the defenses, that reads it quicker, that understands it. (Hoyer) has an advanced calculus degree. Johnny is good at math, but I don’t know if he’s in the advanced calculus stages.”
“(Experience in the league) means a lot. It means more than people think.”
This is where fans and people who work in the league must differentiate themselves. Manziel is a rookie and Brian Hoyer was playing well before he was injured last season. If the Cleveland faithful really want “Johnny Football” to prosper, they’d be wise to stop paving the Tebow-trail and allow his career to blossom naturally.
