The Browns silenced the critics by drafting Manziel, but it turns out he wasn’t their ideal pick. That is, not according to the $100,000.00 quarterback analysis study they conducted.
According to ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio, via ProFootballTalk, Teddy Bridgewater was mathematically the best QB for them:
The study, which used advanced analytics to examine every quarterback who has played in the last two decades, concluded that the best quarterback in this year’s draft is Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville.
The project began with former team President Joe Banner and was completely shortly after Banner left. One has to wonder just how seriously the study was taken, given the fact they obviously did not draft Bridgewater.
Seems like same ole Cleveland Browns all over again.
