Dirk Nowtizki Takes Shot At Eastern Conference.

The future Hall of Fame free agent to be that no one is talking about, Dirk Nowitzki talked to the Dallas Morning News about his upcoming contract negotiations and seems to have take a shot at Kobe Bryant:

“We want to get better as a team. And I’m pretty sure I’m not going to sign Kobe’s deal – unfortunately (Bryant signed a two-year, $48-million extension). “We’ll find a good way where I feel respected for what I did and we still have enough money left for us to get great players in here. Cubes has been great to me and been loyal to me for a long, long time. I’m sure we’re going to find a great solution for everybody.”

Right or wrong, everyone takes shots at Kobe for taking the $48M contract that was present to him. Yes in theory the Lakers won’t be able to see multiple max players anymore but it’s hard to expect someone to ask to be offered less money in any situation.

With all that being said though, good for Dirk and his idea that he is taking less money for the good of the team. Even though money hasn’t been the issue in their recent struggles to get big name free agents. Now we will wait for Kobe to release a hashtag filled response.
