Ex-NFL WR James Hardy Attacks Cops; Gets Tased

Ex-NFL receiver, James Hardy, a 2008 second round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills, has been arrested in L.A. yesterday afternoon, for allegedly attacking not one, but two of L.A.P.D.’s finest.

The officers were responding to a disturbing the peace call at Hardy’s home, when he became aggressive with them. According to TMZ, he became so aggressive, in fact, that the officers needed to use tasers to eventually subdue him. The officers also mentioned they believed Hardy to be “under the influence”.

Both of the police officers and Hardy himself were taken to a local hospital for unspecified injuries, and Hardy will remain in custody on $25,000 bail. Its no surprise that the officers required medical treatment after scrambling around with Hardy. At 6’6, 225 lbs., I can imagine he’d be quite the load, especially if he was under the influence of some sort of hallucinogenic drug.

He last played in the NFL in 2011, for the Baltimore Ravens, before being released due to injury.
