There’s no better victory won than that of beating cancer. Former Bills QB Jim Kelly is well on the road to this victory, and today he won another battle in the war. 8 days after completing chemotherapy, Kelly was happy to announce that he was officially done with radiation treatment of his reoccurrence of sinus cancer. Kelly walked out of the hospital and was greeted by a swarm of cheering friends, family and fans.
“Thank you guys,” he said, according to Bills.com. “I know I could not have done this without family and friends and you guys have been here since day one,” said Kelly. “I have a long way to go but I know with you people on my team I’ll be here for many many more years and many more parties and gatherings, so thank you.”
Although Kelly never won a Super Bowl for the franchise, he took his team to four big games, and it’s great to see the city stand strong behind him in this fight. He is currently also part of a group that is bidding on the Buffalo Bills team in order to keep the organization in the city of Buffalo.
