Maya Benberry, Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend, expressed her skepticism about the veracity of the couple’s alleged romance.
The 31-year-old admitted that she was suspicious of her ex’s motives because he is “talking to the media a lot”; she originally met the NFL player in 2016 while participating in his E! dating program Catching Kelce and dated him for a number of months following.
Speaking to Inside Edition, Benberry went on to call the Kansas City Chiefs player a “narcissist” and asserted that Swift’s followers have been criticizing her on social media.
She said
“The only reason that I question the genuineness of the relationship is because he’s talking to the media a lot,”
“Certain qualities don’t change in men. I feel like Travis is a narcissist so most narcissists don’t change.”
“I don’t know Taylor Swift, but I’m a fan of her music,” “I don’t feel any way about her dating Travis … She’s beautiful. She’s successful. We’re in two different lanes.”
Maya Benberry describes swifties as “aggressive”, “very negative” and “very hypocritical”
According to her interview with Inside Edition, Taylor’s fanbase is “aggressive,” “very negative,” and “very hypocritical.” She said
“It’s really crazy to me that someone I think is positive and really nice has such a negative and angry fan base.”

Benberry’s remarks follow her earlier assertion that Kelce cheated on her when they were together.
“I’m sure by now [Swift] has mastered the ability to see who is really there for her and who is just using her,” “Only time will tell, but like the saying always goes: Once a cheater always a cheater.”
The allegations of infidelity were then refuted by a source close to Kelce, who told TMZ that he and Benberry only dated for a month after Chasing Kelce finished and that they were unable to publicly declare their breakup because of an agreement with the TV network. They also called her remarks “a poor excuse of someone trying to get her 15 min[utes] of fame” and criticized them.
