When I was 22 years old, if someone gave me a bunch of money, I can’t lie I would have probably splurged on a lot of things.
It took me into my 30s to really understand proper money management, luckily for me that is when my finances started to stabilize.
So, I try not to rip these kids for splurging a little bit, I just hope their families and advisers are helping them put some money away because the NFL stands for NOT FOR LONG, regardless if you are a 1st round draft pick or not.
The money these kids make have to last them for their entire lives, so if you are a friend, family member, agent or adviser, please try your best to let them know that.
