Yesterday reports came out that the Vikings could look to move Adrian Peterson. The only name that would be more surprising if moved would be Calvin Johnson. Well, according to Dan Patrick, the Lions may consider a move as his cap hit gets smaller:
Per @DpShow, #Lions may consider shopping WR Calvin Johnson; A $16M net cap loss in 2014, but just $416,000 in 2015 http://t.co/YVD3RxSosA

Financially, it makes sense for the Lions to keep their options open. Also, we know that the NFL stands for Not For Long and even the guy that most consider the best player in the league regardless of position can be on the chopping block if the money gets too big.
Still this would be a jarring thing to see happen and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Lions come out with a denial.
