This has always seemed the logical way for Paul Pierce to end his career.
According to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, the L.A. Clippers and head coach Doc Rivers is a likely landing spot for Paul Pierce if he chooses to not return to Brooklyn.
If KG decides to play on, those who know him well say Pierce’s incentive to stay in Brooklyn naturally spikes. If Garnett decides it’s time to stop, Pierce is bound to be intrigued even more by the scenario that is said to be on his radar already: Reuniting with Doc Rivers in Clipperland in what would also be a homecoming for the Los Angeles native.
The Clippers were linked to Pierce ad Kevin Garnett, last summer before the Boston Celtics traded both. Boston is also a strong choice for Pierce as well.
Pierce could also really make it intriguing, and consider finishing his career with his hometown Lakers.
