Its always interesting to see the PPV numbers and salary payouts from UFC events. The UFC PPV buy numbers are beginning to rival those of major boxing events, yet the pay remains substantially less for UFC fighters.
The total pay out from UFC 173 totalled $1, 224,00 when you include fight bonuses. To add further perspective Marcos Maidana earned a base salary of 1.5 million dollars to fight against Floyd Mayweather earlier this month, which is a quarter of a million dollars more than all 24 fighters earned at UFC 173 combined.
Here’s a List of the Total Salaries & Bonuses from UFC 173 courtesy of USAToday:

Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter’s income. They also do not include any other “locker room” or special discretionary bonuses the UFC oftentimes pays. Additionally, they don’t include any pay-per-view revenue some top fighters receive.
For example, as previously reported, UFC officials handed out additional $50,000 UFC 173 bonuses to Dillashaw (“Fight of the Night” and “Performance of the Night,” worth $100,000 total), Barao (“Fight of the Night”) and Clarke (“Performance of the Night”).
In other words, the above figures are simply base salaries reported to the commission and do not reflect entire compensation packages for the event.
