Brian Windhorst is reporting that Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh has opted out of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent.

Chris Broussard of ESPN.com is reporting that Bosh is seeking a five-year deal in the $15-$16 million range.

Bosh could likely be the wildcard in the process because he seems to not be interested in taking that much of a discount.

He averaged just 16.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this past season after being a walking double-double machine in Toronto for most of his career.

Bosh could derail this whole situation if he decides he wants to cash out.
