Josh Gordon is in a bit of a holding pattern with his team as he awaits suspension. However, the Browns seem to have another concern about Gordon. Browns Head Coach Mike Pettine spoke about Josh’s practice habits on 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland:
“It is something we’ve talked about and from what I understand he’s made some improvement, but it is a work in progress,” Pettine said, per The Plain Dealer. “I’m a big believer in quality of reps versus quantity of reps. If I’m a player and I know that I’m going to be out there for 40 full-speed team snaps I may have a tendency to pace myself.
“There still needs to be improvement there but we’re aware of it.”
You would think that Gordon would work twice as hard with his suspension looming that will land him in the team’s doghouse no matter how talented he is. I’m sure this will work itself out whenever he gets on the field this year, but Gordon is on thin ice due to his behavior.
