Donald Sterling Hires Private Investigators to Find Dirt on NBA Owners

The slippery slope has arrived and I am all for it.

If there is dirt to be found, I say put it out there for the world to see.

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s team of lawyers has hired four private investigation firms to dig up dirt on the NBA’s former and current commissioners and its 29 other owners, a person familiar with Sterling’s legal strategy told the Associated Press.

Investigators were given a six-figure budget over the next 30 days to examine the league’s finances, allegations of previous discriminatory conduct and compensation to past Commissioner David Stern and current Commissioner Adam Silver, said the person who spoke to The Associated Press on Thursday night on condition of anonymity. The person wasn’t authorized to talk publicly.

The person said the investigators also are looking into whether other owners made any off-color jokes, or racist or sexist remarks.

I want all of this to become public, so we know exactly what the owners feel about the players and other races.

  1. I am 100% behind Sterling, he’s a crazy old man but what a person says in the privacy of their own home is PRIVATE – Every single one of us is racist in some way, I make fun of blacks, whites, women, gays etc equally, is the NBA gonna come and take my house???

    • the NBA can “take” my house anyday if it means getting 160 times what i payed for it.

(sterling paid about 12.5 mil, and could potentially sell it for upwards of 2 bill)

  2. I just wish the old man would drop dead. He is evil and I don’t want to know what the other owners think. We know most of them are like him, but they have enough sense to keep their mouths shut. If enough information is found, the NBA as we know it will be ruined.

  3. Think about it this way:

If Michael Jordan, owner of the Charlotte Bobcats says to his buddies who has his phone out videotaping the conversation at a poker game: “My wife should shut up and get her ass back in the kitchen”, does the NBA take away his team and force him to sell + a $2.5 million fine.

This is bullshit in a big way, the NBA decisions regarding Sterling completely violates Freedom of Speech.
