Soccer fans continue to prove how brutal they can be when it comes to the respect of their team. Last week Louisville City FC debuted a new logo for the team that was greeted only by outrage, disgust, mockery and disappointment from their fans.
The logo isn’t horrible, but fans weren’t happy. This prompted owner Wayne Estopinal to launch a fan contest to create the new logo for the team. At least Estopinal let the fans put their money where their mouth is, since all the claims were that the fans could come up with something much better.
“When you start looking at everything and realize it’s got to be the size of a postage stamp of an envelope and you realize it’s also got to be the size of a banner at Slugger Field, you see how varied it is,” Estopinal said. “We really need some people to advise us
Some of the fan designs were definitely more innovative than the logo originally designed by the team, and the best part is that the contest was for a $500 prize.

The team is taking entries for the new design until this Sunday, so there’s definitely time to be part of this fun contest.
