This is something that you just can’t predict, hopefully he pulls through. Here are the details via Columbus Dispatch.
An off-duty Columbus firefighter was apparently struck by lightning in the parking lot outside of Crew Stadium before tonight’s game against FC Dallas, multiple eyewitnesses told The Dispatch.
Officials from the Columbus Division of Fire identified the victim as Columbus Fire Lieutenant Stu Tudor. He was transported to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition.
A moment later, he said, a man in the port-a-john next to him called 911 and said that someone had been struck by lightning. Lewis said he opened the door and saw a man lying on the ground.
“He was purple and had his shirt ripped off,” he said.
