It was always going to be tough for the Chicago Blackhawks to overcome a 3-1 deficit to the Los Angeles Kings and make it to the Stanley Cup Finals, but damn it they almost pulled it off.
Alec Martinez scored a goal at the 05:47 mark in overtime to help the Kings advance to the Stanley Cup Finals where they will face the New York Rangers.
The Kings came back from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to tie the game and only took the lead on the final goal of the game. The Kings also became the first team to clinch a Stanley Cup Final berth in a game 7 on the road.
