Lions Release CB Chris Houston
This is a shocker I’m sure Lions fans didn’t see coming. According to Tim Twentyman, the Lions have released cornerback Chris Houston just one year after handing him a five-year, $25 million contract.
The #Lions have terminated the contract of CB Chris Houston. That’s how they got the $ to sign TE Eric Ebron.

Houston was unable to physically do what the Lions needed, so his contract was terminated.
“Chris Houston underwent a significant medical procedure this spring,” the Lions said in a statement. “Both parties felt that the best course of action at this time is to release Chris and allow him to rehabilitate his injury away from the Club. The Lions appreciate Chris’ contributions over the years and wish him the best in his recovery.”
He missed four games because of toe and foot injuries, but struggled even before the injuries started to plague him.Powered by Sidelines
