It’s no secret that the Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to trade star forward Kevin Love after the All-Star let the team know he would not be interested in signing an extension.

While Minnesota is discussing trades with interested teams, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, they have made it clear that they do not plan on trading Love until they have hired a new coach.

The Timberwolves likely hope that hiring the right coach can persuade Love to give the team a chance, but it seems like they are just delaying the inevitable at this point.

Love for his part seems to be set on leaving per Woj, it is unlikely that anything Minnesota can do short of bringing in a superstar will keep Love in the Twin Cities.
