Johnny Manziel has finally responded to all of the recent criticism, involving his off the field antics.
Johnny Manziel: “my teammates are tired of the hype. They’re tired of the questions about me. So am I. Don’t think doing anything wrong”

#browns manziel said he’d like to wake up on a weekend and not see a bad headline about himself. He’s tired of the scrutiny

While it may be argued that the coverage Manziel’s private life is receiving is a bit excessive, what can’t be debated is the fact that much of the attention, he brings on himself. Posting videos, tweets and the like, immediately transform personal off-time exploits into material for others to interpret, as they will, and eventually build and share an opinion.
Maybe Manziel is working just as hard as other players, maybe not, but in the age of instant reporting, everything is a story when you’re “Johnny Football” and he knows that at this point. I don’t believe Joe Montana, Warren Moon, and all of the other people who’ve weighed in on the situation are speaking out of negativity when they tell Manziel he should settle it down a bit, however, if he truly wants more peace he should heed teammates Joe Haden’s advice about having a “phone valet“.
