This sort of came out of nowhere from Floyd, but a couple of things need to be addressed. The first thing is that you never know who is running Mayweather’s account. He has said on many occasions that he isn’t the one uploading stuff, that he just gives approval or instructions. Did he instruct someone to post this?
As far as the comment itself, not to go all Mark Cuban, but it is a slippery slope. What is fair when judging appearance? If I walk into a Lexus dealership with gray sweatpants and white tee on, will I get as much respect, attention or credibility than the guy who walks in with a 3-piece suit? Even if we have the same amount of money in the bank sometimes perception is reality.
When it comes to young ladies, I think without knowing what he means by “disrespect” it is difficult to come to a strong conclusion. Because you make an assumption on a woman by the way they dress, but that doesn’t give you the right to do certain things to them. On the flip side, if you choose to stay away from certain women because of their attitude, people the associate with or their attire, that is a personal choice.
Even if the woman is not dressed to your standards, it is very important not to be disrespectful to anyone who isn’t disrespectful to you. Let that person live their life and you can deal with women who you think are more classy.
Some may find Mayweather comments a little hypocritical because of some of the former women in his past and that is fair as well.
