While performing at Hot 97’s Summer Jam on the Stadium Stage, Nas decided to go old school on all of the fans, showing them the “90s era” with “Life’s a B*tch,” “It Ain’t Hard to Tell,” “The World is Yours,” and “Represent” from Illmatic.
For those of you who may not know, Illmatic was his classic 90s album. I feel the need to add this because the fans were not feeling the Nas performance that much. I’m not sure if that was the case because of his performance or their knowledge of Illmatic. So, I can at least assist with one!
Nas also introduced Meek Mill and French Montana to the stage *update* now 50 Cent.

In addition to his performance, Nas jumped on PBS with Charlie Rose two days ago to talk about how he changed the rap game, the difference between how hard it was to be in the rap game today vs. 1994, his two major influences, Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra, and more.
“Today it’s a lot easier to get into the Rap game but, back then in ’94, it was a lot harder.”- Nas via HHS87
